Please keep in
mind this is an example of our daily schedule and it may be
modified according to your childs age group or for certain
activities.
-
Discipline:
We use two primary
forms of discipline in our center. The first is redirection and
choice making. We try to offer suggestions of what behavior or
action is acceptable instead of what is inappropriate. The
second is time out and removal from the situation.
Whenever any form of discipline must be administrated an
explanation of why and what is expected of them is given.
-
Illness and Medication:
If your child should
become ill through the course of the day we will notify you
immediately. In some cases your childs illness may require them
to be picked up from the center. If this should occur we asked
for you to do so as quickly as possible. High fever, vomiting,
and diarrhea are conditions that prohibit children from coming
to the center. If your child will be required to take
medication while he or she is at the center we ask that you have
your childs name clearly marked on the medication bottle. A
medication authorization, which includes dosage instructions,
must also be filled out. Please do not allow children to bring
any medicine to take on their own. All policies in regard
to illness and medication are designed to protect the health and
welfare of all our children and staff. We appreciate your help
and understanding in this matter.
-
Safety Issues:
We require parents or
guardians to bring their children into the center each morning.
We also require you to come into the building each evening. We
do not allow a child to come into or out of the building on
their own. Without prior permission from you we will not
allow anyone not designated on their enrollment card to pick
them up from our facility. We reserve the right to request
proper identification from anyone attempting to pick up your
child. We conduct monthly fire, smoke detector, and
tornado drills at this facility. We also have procedures in
place in the event of a lock down at the public schools or
terrorist attack. The safety of the children in our care
is our greatest concern.
-
What you can expect from us:
You will receive a
daily report each evening that will include information
regarding eating and sleeping habits, bathroom and or diaper
information, medication, accidents, and items that may be needed
to be brought from home. Each daily report is age specific and
information may vary in different age groups. At the
beginning of each month you will receive a monthly newsletter
and a calendar containing all preschool information activities.
A weekly menu containing morning snack, lunch, and afternoon
snack is located to the left of the front door.
Our staff is dedicated to helping you prepare your child for the
future. We take great effort in ensuring that your child has a
fun filled day, with lots of learning experiences. If at
any time you have questions or concerns regarding the care of
your child please let us know so that we may address these with
you honestly and promptly.
